Because we all could use a good laugh.

You know that saying about how God gets a good laugh when we tell Him our plans? Well, I figure I'll tell you my plans for what I'm going to read in July and we can laugh together, because we all know about those lists. I'll never stick to it.

Let me preface this by saying I am doing a couple of challenges on Goodreads to help me read through some of my books I own but haven't read. There are a lot. Anyway, the first couple of books are from those challenges.

  • American Heiress by Daisy Goodwin

  • The End of Your Life Book Club by Will Schwalbe

Now, I also have created a TBR Jar (to-be-read jar). It's just a little jar with little pieces of paper in it with the titles of all my books. I am going to try to read one book a month from that jar. It looks like this:

tbr jar

  • So the jar pull was Geek Mom by Kathi Ceceri
  1. The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson - which have you seen this book? It's a beast! But I hear it's fabulous, so I want to give it a go.

  2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling - I've been reading this for like 2 months already. It just really needs to get done, already.

  3. Death and Judgment by Donna Leon - This is one of Guido Brunetti mysteries. I love this series. So so much.

  4. The Shelf: From LEQ to LES by Phyllis Rose - I have this checked out from the library. I don't know why, but I guess something captured my fancy.

  5. Fables 2 - This is a graphic novel about fairy tale characters in the big city.

  6. The Round House by Louise Erdrich - This one is for the library book club that I lead.

I also will have a book club book to read, but I'm not sure what that will be, so whatevs.

Okay, everyone enjoying that? The really big laugh will come when we see how much of that list I've actually read come the end of July
