October Wrap up.

Let's see how I did, shall we?

Here's what was on my TBR:

1Q84 by Haruki Murakami

State of Wonder by Ann Patchett

Sea Creatures by Susanna Daniel

The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith

The Magicians by Lev Grossman

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Prince Lestat by Anne Rice

And let's see what I actually read:

State of Wonder by Ann Patchett. Hey! There's one from the list. I really liked this one. It made for some great book club discussion.

1Q84 by Haruki Murakami - Two down! I also liked this one a lot. Also, It's the longest book I've read in a while.

Maddie on Things by Theron Humphrey - This guy goes all over the country and takes pictures of his dog standing on things. It's adorable.

Sea Creatures by Susanna Daniel - Three down! This was the book club book. Good discussion again.

The Dark by Lemony Snicket - This is a great picture book in which a little boy is scared of The Dark.

The Cuckoo's Calling - Number 4! Check out my lengthy review of this one. I was pleasantly surprised.

The Pleasures of Reading in an Age of Distraction by Alan Jacobs. - At least twice a year.

So that's it. I read 7 books, which is more than I had planned to read, but only 4 of them were on the original list. However, the two on the list that didn't get read HAVE been read in the past so I don't feel too badly about letting them go.

How was your reading month?
