Dewey's Read-a-thon TBR
This Saturday is Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon. I'm supposed to start reading at 7 a.m. but let's be real. That's probably not going to happen. Saturday is my one day to sleep in, so I will probably do that instead.
Now let's talk about what I'm planning to read. I have a whole stack of library books that I need to read, and there are a couple of books from my April TBR that I haven't read, yet. I think what I'll do is post the list of books I'm going to pile up to draw from during the course of the day. Yeah, that's the ticket.
-
Almost Famous Women by Megan Mayhew Bergman - This is a book of short stories and is now overdue at the library. I need to get serious. I feel like short stories might be a good choice for a read-a-thon. I can use them as palette cleansers when I get tired of other books.
-
Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovich - I started this and enjoyed what I read. I think it will be a pretty quick read, making it a good choice for read-a-thon.
-
Emma by Alexander McCall Smith - I'm reading this now, so it probably won't take long to finish it up.
-
The Distant Hours by Kate Morton - Because I put this on my April TBR and haven't even taken it off the shelf, yet.
I'm pretty sure I won't finish 4 books in one day, but if that happens, I can go look at the million and one books I have on my shelf.
Getting excited!
