Top Ten Tuesday 5/12/15
Top Ten Tuesday is a set of blog topics provided by The Broke and the Bookish. Today's topic is: Top Ten Authors I'd REALLY Like to Meet.
Wow. Ten, huh?
-
Donna Leon - She writes the Guido Brunetti mysteries set in Venice. One caveat: we have to meet at her house in Venice. Seems like a plan.
-
Sarah Vowell - She writes hilarious non-fiction, usually of the historical ilk. She's originally from Muskogee, Oklahoma. We could share stories in our funny accents.
-
Alan Jacobs - We'd probably just sit around and read companionably.
-
Sara Nelson - We could gush about all the books. All. The. Books.
-
Rainbow Rowell - She writes YA and adult Contemporary Fiction. They are all fun and light, but not too fluffy. We could go shoe shopping together.
-
Janet Evanovich - I'm thinking this crazy woman would be awesome to go to the mall with and people watch.
-
Darynda Jones - I like the idea of spending some time with this paranormal writer in her home town of Albuquerque. She can show me her take on the town.
-
Helen Fielding - I'm pretty sure she lives in England. Good enough.
-
Mary Oliver - We could walk the dogs. Maybe she'd come up with some more dog poetry.
-
Anne Rice - She would probably find me quotidian and boring. But she would, of course, be fascinating.
That's what I got. Who would you like to meet?
