Burial Rites by Hannah Kent - What a fabulous portrayal of the last person executed in Iceland. Such a mysterious story. What really happened may never be known.

Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl - I loved this book a million years ago when it came out.

The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker - A fabulous book about these two mythical creatures stranded in 1900 New York City.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - I've read this about three times. It's just so beautiful.
