Netgalley Books

I mentioned in my last post that I joined Netgalley.com to get books pre-publication for review. I told you about a couple of them in that post, so I thought I'd tell you about the others I got here.

The Book of Speculation

The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler - Published June 23 - I am super stoked about this one. I've had it on my TBR list for a six weeks and had it on my library request list. The synopsis sounds to me a lot like The Thirteenth Tale in its tone. A man lives alone in his family house on the edge of a bluff on Long Island Sound. His parents are dead and his sister is estranged. He gets an antique book with some mysterious history about his family.

Family Money

Family Money by William Whitehead - Published July 1 - I'm having trouble downloading this one. It is not available for my Kindle, and my Chromebook doesn't have the capability to download it, so I have to see if I can figure out how to get to it. Basically, it's one of a series of books for kids and teens about money. The series includes 4 books about how societies use money. The first one is Country Money.

Most Likely to Succeed

Most Likely to Succeed by Tony Wagner and Ted Dintersmith - Published August 18 - This one is about what needs to change in our education system to prepare our kids to be engaged, creative, productive citizens in the twenty-first century. I like to read about this stuff.

Buzz Books

Buzz Books 2015 Fall/Winter - This is super awesome. It is a collection of excerpts from a bunch of books being released next Fall/Winter. There are books coming from Geraldine Brooks, Lauren Groff, and Alice Hoffman. This is just a thing from Netgalley, so I don't feel like I have to read it extremely quickly, but I like to know what's coming out!
