Top Ten Tuesday 8/11/15

So apparently, I screwed up last week. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Author's You've Read the Most Books From. Well, I accidentally did that for Top Five Wednesday last week. Last week's top five Wednesday was favorite maps in books, and I definitely am not going to be able to come up with 10 maps in books to make the trade. I'm just going to modify it a little bit to Ten Authors I own the Most Books From.

Let's do this.

So I went around to all my bookshelves and stared at them for awhile and here's what I came up with:

  1. Jane Austen - 25. I know, I know. She only published 6 books. Well, my shelves contain multiple copies of her works, as well as her juvenalia and the graphic novel version of Pride and Prejudice.

  2. Charles Dickens - 6. Not even close to his whole oeuvre.

  3. Charlotte Bronte - 5. Again. Multiple copies of Jane Eyre plus Villette and The Professor.

  4. Hideyuki Kurata - 5. It should be six, but I lost one. I'm sure it's in the house somewhere but I haven't seen it in a decade. These are the Read or Die and Read or Dream manga books.

  5. Nancy Pearl - 4. All the Book Crush books.

  6. Will Thomas - 4. Pitiful considering he is a personal friend. I'm missing a couple.

  7. George Willson - 3. He is my neighbor and has written 4 books in a kind-of vampire series. Gotta get that last one.

  8. Nikki Sixx - 3. I have his two memoirs and the one he wrote with the rest of the members of Motley Crue. I also have the books written by the other members of the band, but only one each, so he wins.

  9. Suzanne Collins - 3. The Hunger Games series.

  10. Anne Rice - ?. I know I have a bunch of these, but I could only find one on my shelf. And I think it's the one with the cover that's taped on with masking tape, so I can't imagine that I would have gotten rid of them, but they are in hiding.

So that's my 10.
