Book Smell - I admit it. I sniff books. I love the smell of new books. Not so much old books. Yuck. But new book smell is awesome.

Readthon - Since I just participated in one, I have to say, it's great to spend a whole day reading. No guilt. Clear your whole calendar and just focus on your books. I feel like this is a thing that should happen way more often.

Doggie Reading Partners - I guess you could include cats, but my fave reading partners are my dogs. They keep my feet warm, or just generally hang around and support my reading habit.

Tea - I love a good cup of tea with a book. Especially when there is...

Reading Weather - Rain or snow, on a day when you don't have to go anywhere. This is reading weather. I sit on my couch or my bed and enjoy the knowledge that the universe is condoning my desire to sit and read because I can't go out, anyway.

Naps - I love reading myself into a nap. I am really good at it. Tucking myself in bed of an afternoon with my book. I can be out in 2 pages.

Late Night Reading - I love being in bed in the dark with the only light coming from my lamp. My hunny and my puppy asleep around me. Perfect reading time.

Bookmarks - I love bookmarks. I own hundreds. There is no such thing as too many bookmarks. Sometimes I match them to my book. Sometimes, I just grab whichever bookmark is handy. And there is always a bookmark handy.

Library Books - I have read thousands of library books. I own enough unread books to keep me reading for at least 2 years, maybe 3. But the library keeps me at the top of my game with the latest books. I hate paying for hardcovers, so I read the ones the library paid for.

Book Paraphernalia - I love to announce my book nerd status, so I have book t-shirts and buttons and bumper stickers and mugs and tote bags. I love all the book things. Bring them to me!
