Wichita Book Crawl Haul

On Monday, my friend Danielle and I took a day trip to Wichita, Kansas to go book shopping. Here is a look at what I brought home.

Judge a Book by it's Lover

Judging a Book By Its Lover by Lauren Leto - You know how much I love books about books. This one was on my TBR for a long time, but then I realized my library didn't have it, so I took it off. Then I found it at BookAHolic, a pretty good sized used book store.

Life after Death

Life After Death by Damien Echols - Echols was one of the West Memphis Three. They were convicted of killing a younger boy and spent 18 years in prison before being pardoned and released. I have a secret passion for true crime. I can't wait to read this one. I also picked this up at BookAHolic.

Goldfinch

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt - I have been eyeing this one for awhile. When it came out in hardcover I just knew I would never be able to read the 700+ page chunker that way. My hands just won't make it through that. Then, it came out in paperback and I picked it up a few times, but it's pretty expensive still, for a paperback. At the Barnes and Noble in Wichita, I found it in mass market paperback for $11. Boo Yah! Done.

Brave New World

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley - This was a complete impulse buy. I had decided to read this for a book challenge to read a book I should have read in school. I saw it on the shelf and grabbed it.

We went to this independent bookstore called Watermark. It is really nice and has a cafe attached. I didn't buy any books there, but I bought a ton of stuff.

Wichita Stuff

Ugh! The picture is sideways. Sorry about that.

Anyway, I got three Harry Potter pins for my lanyard at work. 2 magnets. Jane Austen temporary tattoos. New work socks.

So that is my Wichita Book Crawl Haul.
