Longest Reads

Today's Top Five Wednesday topic is Books You Took The Longest to Finish. So okay, a lot of books, I'm not entirely sure when I started them. I have the finish date, but not necessarily the day I began. Also, I can't rely solely on the size of the book, because I finished Crime and Punishment in one day which is over 500 pages. So I am going to have to rely on my memory alone to remember which books took me forever to finish.

Moby Dick by Herman Melville - I'm pretty sure this took me half of forever to read because it is so intensely boring.

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy - This thing is huge. I'm pretty sure it took me a month.

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy - I have records on this one. It took me 2 months and 2 weeks to read it back in 2010.

I am Number 4 by Pittacus Lore - This one took almost 3 months. Probably because it wasn't very good.

...And Ladies of the Club by Helen Hooven Santmyer - I read this in 2006 and I remember it took me almost a month.

So there are the books it took me the longest to finish. I didn't count books I've started and abandoned. What books took you a long time to get through?
