June 2017 Wrap Up

June is done! We are half way through the year! With that in mind, let's look at what I read in June!

So my TBR for June:

The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman - Done! I was one of the 2 people at book club that finished. I really liked it.

Still Life by Louise Penny - Never even opened it. I took it to read in the car, then I ended up driving most of the trip. It will reappear on a TBR in the future.

As If! by Jen Chaney - Read it! I really enjoyed this lovely little look behind the scenes of making one of my favorite movies.

Readicide by Kelly Gallagher - I started it, but his irate tone kind of harshed my mellow, so I had to put it aside for now. This is not good bedtime reading.

So two out of four. Not great, but that's not all I read this month.

Felines of New York by Jim Tews - This was a parody of Humans of New York, but with cats. It's always fun to look at pictures of cats.

The Lunch Witch by Deb Lucke - This was the secondary book chosen by the book club hostess this month. I didn't love it as much as the other 2 people who read it. I was just meh about it.

Lumberjanes Vol. 5: Band Together by Noelle Stevenson - In this one, the campers help a group of mermaids heal their friendship woes.

By the Book by Pamela Paul - This was the collection of my favorite section of the NYT Book Review. I like this one a lot.

March Book 3 by John Lewis - This was my Sequoyah Award List book for June. Very powerful.

So I ended up reading 7 books this month, just not the ones I planned to read. What fun things did you read this month?
