Goodreads Update 8/30/17

Woo Hoo! Goodreads Update time!!!

Here's what's new on my GR TBR.

Fire in Beulah by Rilla Askew - This is set during the Oklahoma oil rush. Askew is an Oklahoma native and she always writes fascinating novels about race and class set in the area.

The Revenant by Sonia Gesler - We have talked about this one. It's here so I can read a book by one of the authors coming to the Ok Teen Book Con in October.

The Genius of Jane Austen: Her Love of Theatre and Why She Works in Hollywood by Paula Byrne - Yay! More Jane Austen stuff!!!

Am I Alone Here?: Notes of Living to Read and Reading to Live by Peter Orner - Don't you love that title? Gotta give this one a shot.

The Making of Jane Austen by Devoney Looser - Yay! Jane Austen!

Three Things You Need to Know About Rockets: A Real-Life Scottish Fairy Tale by Jessica A. Fox - Fox is the wife of a bookstore owner in Scotland and this is the story of their romance.

Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore by Matthew J. Sullivan - Firstly, it's a super cute title. Secondly, I won a copy in a giveaway at work. Who cares what it's about?

The Good People by Hannah Kent - I love Hannah Kent. She wrote Burial Rites which I adored. I'm hoping for another winner here.

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katharine Arden - I don't remember where I found this book, but it has been compared to The Night Circus, so there you go.

Okay, I added the rest of these from the Man Booker Long List for 2017. This is not the complete list. It's just the list of the ones I want to read, probably.

4 3 2 1 by Paul Auster
History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund
Solar Bones by Mike McCormack
Reservoir 13 by Jon McGregor
Elmet by Fiona Mozley
Autumn by Ali Smith

So those are all the books I have added to my Goodreads TBR in the last month or so. I'll never get them all read. But I'll have fun trying!
