Making of Jane Austen

This weekend I will mostly just be trying to finish The Making of Jane Austen by Devoney Looser. I am about 1/3 of the way through it. I am really enjoying this. It's a completely different take on Austen. In fact, Austen herself isn't really in the picture. It's all about how people thought about her and her works long after she was gone. Did you know that around the turn of the twentieth century, Austen's most loved work was Mansfield Park? What?? It's not a very long book, but the print is tiny and the margins are very small. Good thing it doesn't suck.
