Dewey's 24-Hour Readathon

It's that time again folks. This Saturday is the Dewey's 24-Hour Readathon. I can't believe it's already been 6 months since the last one. The last one that I epically failed. I had a migraine and fell asleep after about an hour and a half of reading. Then, my husband's car broke so I spent the day acquiring a loaner car for him and ferrying a child about town. Not much actual reading.

I will not be participating in this readathon. I have to work all day on Saturday. My library is down 3 people this week. That is over 25% of our staff. It's only Tuesday and we're a little wacko right now. I think the last thing I need after a hard week and a day of teenagers, is the pressure of a readathon. Given my recent slump, I probably wouldn't read anyway.

On the off chance that I do read a bunch Saturday night, I'll call it a readathon win. But without committing to the challenge, I am taking the pressure off.

So good luck to all those participating. Read hard. Eat snacks. Enjoy!
