Ravenclaw Books!!!

Today's Top 5 Wednesday topic is Books for Your Hogwarts House! I am Ravenclaw all the way, so this will be ridiculously easy. I mean, every book could be a Ravenclaw book. Ravenclaw is all about learning and reading, so I will try to use learning-type books or Harry Potter-type books. Kind of. These are all books from my TBR, so you've probably seen them before.

Princesses Behaving Badly

Princesses Behaving Badly by Linda Robbie McRobbins - The subtitle for this book is Real Stories from History - Without the Fairy-Tale Endings. So real stories from history sounds like Ravenclaw stuff, right? Yeah. It does. Trust me.

Lexicon

Lexicon by Max Barry - This is a thriller/mystery/spy novel about words. So obviously it would appeal to Ravenclaws.

Careless People

Careless People: Murder, Mayhem, and the Invention of the Great Gatsby by Sarah Churchwell - I believe Ravenclaws would be very interested in the history of a great novel. They would definitely want to know what sparked the creation of one of literature's greatest characters.

The Romanov Sisters

The Romanov Sisters by Helen Rappaport - This is about the 4 daughters of Nicholas and Alexandra who died during the Russian Revolution. They were beautiful and smart and sensitive. The blurb touts them as "the Princess Dianas of their day." Ravenclaws love to learn about important people in history, and this book definitely talks about the movers and shakers in the Russian Revolution.

In the Kingdom of Ice

In the Kingdom of Ice by Hampton Sides - Subtitled "The Grand and Terrible Polar Voyage of the USS Jeannette" this book would definitely tantalize the Ravenclaw fascination with adventure and misadventure.

There are 5 fabulous books for members of Ravenclaw House. What do you think would be a good addition to this list?
