Friday Reads 3/16/18

It's Friday! Hollah!!!

I finished my book club book yesterday, so I have some decisions to make.

Firstly, I still have the two books I started last month that I haven't finished:

Natural History of Dragons

Gemina

And also, I did a thing. After I finished reading the Sequoyah nominees list this year, I told myself I wasn't going to make myself do that again. Well, the 2019 nominees list came out this week and I ordered every book off the list. And not just the high school list, but also the intermediate list. I currently have 19 Sequoyah books checked out. But only one of them has an immediate hold, so I'll start with:

57 Bus

The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater - This is about two teenagers from vastly different areas of Los Angeles who ride the same city bus every day. One day one kid sets the other one's skirt on fire and both their lives are changed forever. That sounds acceptably dramatic.

So that's what I will be choosing from this weekend if I get time to read. I have 3 projects due in the next 10 days, so I should probably focus on that, but I really don't want to.

What are you planning for this weekend?
