Covers I Could Live In

The Top Five Wednesday topic for today is Covers I Could Live In. I'm translating this as covers that show a beautiful place, even if the actual place is not that great. By putting these covers on the list, I am saying that I like the place depicted, even if that doesn't accurately depict the place in the book. Clear as mud?

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles - This shot of the street view out his window is gorgeous! Not that I want to live in Soviet Russia, but that street is beautiful!

Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance - Again, I am not interested in living in rural rust belt America, but look at that mountain! That wouldn't suck to wake up to.

The Road to Little Dribbling by Bill Bryson - I'm not totally against rural living. This representation of an English village is thoroughly inviting.

The Paris Wife by Paula McLain - Wouldn't it be fun to be at a cafe on a street in Paris? I mean, I wouldn't want to be married to Hemingway to make it happen, but everyone has their level.

Wilful Behaviour by Donna Leon - My computer is yelling at me that I spelled both those words wrong. But wouldn't Venice be an interesting place to live? One of my favorite things about this series is the that I learn so much about life in Venice along with getting to solve a mystery!
