Winter 2017-18 TBR

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Winter TBR. This is fun! I can pretend I'm going to have reading time in the winter! Once again, all books on this list are subject to change, and elimination due to lack of time.

In the Kingdom of Ice by Hampton Sides - This is about the polar expedition of the USS Jeanette in the 19th century. Perfect winter reading.

Midnight In Siberia by David Greene - This is about the authors journey through Russia by train.

The Almost Nearly Perfect People by Michael Booth - This is about the idea that the Scandinavians are the happiest people on earth.

Amy Snow by Tracy Rees - I have no idea what this is about, but the title seemed apt.

The Best Land Under Heaven by Michael Wallis - This is about the Donner Party.

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden - The series is called the Winternight Trilogy.

Winter by Ali Smith - Because yes.

Under a Pole Star by Stef Penney - I really liked the other Stef Penney book I read. The Tenderness of Wolves it was called.

The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking - This is information about the Danish way of living peacefully.

Ice by Ice-T - I know, I know. It's a memoir by one of my favorite rappers. Which implies that I have other favorite rappers. So perhaps I should say, the one rapper I like?

Ok. So I had a little fun with this list. Rest assured every one of these books is on my to-read list on Goodreads. I have no idea that I will actually be able to read these books this winter. I have way too many other, more pressing, matters to contend with.
