Library Update October 2018
This update could have been a lot more exciting, but I turned in a stack of diabetic cookbooks this morning. Nevertheless, here is what's happening on my library account.
Checked out:
I actually have several things checked out for my family:
Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu, Miles Morales: Spider-man by Jason Reynolds, The Gospel of Loki by Joanne Harris, and Fantastic Mr. Fox (DVD) for Alyssa.
Darkest Hour (DVD), and Lady Bird (DVD) for Michael.
For myself:
And the Ocean Was Our Sky by Patrick Ness - This is a retelling of Moby Dick from the perspective of the whale.
Lumberjanes Vol. 8: Stone Cold by Shannon Watters - This is more of that graphic novel series about girls at camp who experience supernatural bizarreness.
A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole - I got this book to fulfill one of the last Read Harder challenges I have left: Read a romance by or about a person of color.
Cook Fast, Eat Well by Sue Quinn - The blurb touts this as 5 ingredients, 10 minutes. Sounds good for weeknight cooking.
On hold:
It Happens: A Guide to Contemporary Realistic Fiction for the YA Reader by Kelly Jensen - Jensen is a Book Riot editor and YA expert. I personally requested that my library purchase this, so I'm super excited to have it.
A Winter's Promise by Christelle Dabos - This is a fantasy retelling of Pride and Prejudice. It's huge in France and has just been translated to English.
Look Alive Twenty-Five by Janet Evanovich - Hopefully, this is the last time you'll see this book on this list. It comes out next month.
And that's it! I mean, that's plenty. And more than last month, for sure.
