Library Update November 2018

It is time to do the update thing. Let's see what's going on with my library account.

Checked Out

The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory - I checked this out to meet the Read Harder Challenge to read a romance by or about a person of color. But I might not get to it because I'm listening to another romance with a main character of color.

Heartstone by Ella Katherine White - I ran across this on a Book Riot list of books based on Pride and Prejudice or something like that. I immediately put it on hold. This one is a fantasy novel with dragons and wyverns and such.

On Hold

A Winter's Promise by Christelle Dabos - This is another P&P retelling fantasy novel. It's won a bunch of prizes in France. Now it's been translated to English and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

It Happens: A Guide to Contemporary Realistic Fiction for the YA Reader by Kelly Jensen - This is the book I requested the library purchase and they bought 4 copies. I am stoked!

Once Upon A River by Diane Setterfield - This one comes out next month, but I'm already on the hold list for it. We'll see if it's awesome like her first, or mediocre like her second.

Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave by Joanna Gaines - I always think I'm going to magically grow the skill of decorating. I look at these books and realize I don't have what it takes, but I enjoy the pictures.

Unmarriageable by Soniah Kamal - This was on the list of P&P retellings. It doesn't come out until sometime next year. It's written from the perspective of an Indian American woman.

That's it! What's on your hold list?
