Isolation 2020

The library has sent us all home to quarantine ourselves against the spread of COVID-19. This is the best possible thing that could happen to someone of my nature. I am getting paid to stay in my house and not see other people! My job mostly has to be done onsite, so I only have a little bit of work to do, and half of that isn't necessary before we return.

I've canceled all our appointments for the next week or so. I have an abundance of books to read. My husband hooked up the DVD player in our bedroom so I am rewatching all my favorites. I am happier than a cat in a box.

I've already finished two books. I figure I'll be responisble for a little while and read the books for my award reading. Then, I plan to settle in with something like a Jane Ausen book or one of the Bronte books I got for Christmas.

I've got a watchlist going. I've started with the 1995 Pride and Prejudice, of course. I want to watch Ocean's Eleven, Sense and Sensibility, Clueless, Bring It On, Legally Blonde, and just whatever else I want!

My poor husband is terrified that he will pick up the virus and bring it home to me and my kid. We have a few high-risk issues. He has to continue going to work. Mostly, no one else is there and he is cleaning the office regularly, but he's still nervous. He's even so far as to talk about taking his lunch.

All of this is to say, I'm taking this situation lying down! Or maybe sitting in my chair with a book.
