Friday Reads 8-13-21

Friday the 13th. Maybe that means I'll be able to read again. I've been MIA on this space this week, because I've been MIA from my books. I keep looking at them and thinking, "Gee I sure would like to read a book." I even started a couple of them. Nothing took. I read a few pages and just couldn't get into it.

I have a bunch of library books checked out, but they will probably all go back unread. I can't think of a single thing I want to read. Normally I would re-read a book I previously loved. I don't even feel like doing that.

This weekend is shaping up to be pretty busy. I have to take my youngest shopping. I have to do a whole bunch of laundry, including the dance costumes that have been in my trunk since May. Oops. I also desperately need some rest. I need to make sure I get that scheduled in.

All of this is to say, I have no idea what I'll be reading this week, if anything. Wish me luck. This is unpleasant.
