November 2021 Library Update
I didn't bother with a library update in October because nothing had changed. It was too boring to bother with. But this month, things have started moving. So here's what is going on in my library account.
CHECKED OUT
In the Wild Light by Jeff Zentner - I just finished this one this evening. I love Jeff Zentner and this one did not let me down. It's about a boy from a poor Appalachian town who get a free ride to a tony New England boarding school because they want his genius best friend to come and she won't go without him. So now this down home country boy is with all the rich kids at this school and feels very out of place. It's fantastic.
All These Bodies by Kendare Blake - This is up next because there are people waiting for it. All I know is there are murders and teenagers and a scary girl? Sounds fun.
XOXO by Axie Oh - This is the YA romance book about the girl who falls for a KPOP idol in Korea. Hoping for a quick read, here.
The Power of Style by Christian Allaire - This one is pretty short and hopefully has a lot of pictures so it goes quickly. I need to get all these read for the award situation.
ON HOLD
Love In English by Marie E. Andreu - This is a YA romance about two kids who meet in ESL classes at school.
A Lesson In Vengeance by Victoria Lee - I have no idea what this is about, but it's on the list and my library is sitting on it. Once they get it processed I should get it, but it's just sitting there. Gr.
Bad Girls Never Say Die by Jennifer Mathieu - I would read this even if it wasn't on the award list. It's a gender-swapped retelling of The Outsiders. I hope it holds up to he original.
Squad by Maggie Tokuda Hall - This is a graphic novel about a group of it girls who are actually werewolves.
Yours Cruelly, Elvira: Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark by Cassandra Peterson - I remember Elvira from when I was a kid. I don't remember much, but I was fascinated by her. Now she's written memoirs!
The Recovery Agent by Janet Evanovich - And still this one. Not til March. Sigh.
So that's what is happening on my library account. What do you think? What's going on in your account?
