Winter TBR

Today's Top Ten Tuesday post is Books On My Winter TBR. For the purposes of this post, we are going to pretend that winter begins on February 7. That is the day of my final award committee meeting. After this date, my reading choices are entirely my own! The hard part is choosing what to read! I have so many books to choose from. I won't complain too much, though because it's a good problem to have.

Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir - I read half of this several months ago and felt guilty about not reading award books. After February 7, no more guilt! I still remember what happened and where we are in the story, so I won't have to re-read.

Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff - I had this from the library and only got half of it read before I had to return it. In my defense, it is a large book with small margins. Lucky for me, I got a copy for my birthday, so I can read it at Whim!

Long Bright River by Liz Moore - I have been waiting to read the book for literal years! I'm so excited. I can barely stand myself.

To Have and to Hoax by Martha Waters - This would make a great Valentine's book! It's a Regency hate-to-love romance. And it's pink!

Ex Libris: 100+ Books to Read and Reread by Michiko Kakutani - I really want to read a book about books. I have a whole shelf full, but this is the one I want to read.

Wuhan Diary by Fang Fang - I'm pretty stoked to read this one. I know many people aren't ready to read about the pandemic, yet, but I am. I read Premonition in August. I'm ready to dive into this one.

The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes - This is the sequel to the fabulous Inheritance Games that came out last year. I'm super excited to read it, but also, when I read it, I will have to wait for the end of the trilogy. Sigh.

Nothin' But a Good Time by Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock - I actually pre-ordered this, but I'm not mad about it. I supported the authors. But I'm ready to dive in head first.

The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling - Everyone else on the internet read this in October and they've been raving about it since. I'd like to see what all the hype is about.

South Toward Home: Travels in Southern Literature by Margaret Eby - I personally love Southern writing. Not so much the Faulkner, but definitely the Flannery O'Connor. So I'm excited about this one.

That's ten. That's a pretty good list. What do you want to read this Winter?
