Friday Reads 1/28/22
I am officially on the last book for the awards! Please let it be a good one!
Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer - "Rifts between sectors have only worsened since a sickness began ravaging the land" Oh goody. A pandemic novel. Oh well. I trust Kemmerer. Let's see what she's got.
Devil in a Blue Dress by Walter Mosley - Surprise! And a sneak peak for my February TBR. This year's winner of the Sankofa Freedom Award, which is awarded by my library (like my specific building), is Walter Mosley. One of my coworkers is doing a book club discussion of this book the day after my last award committee meeting. I haven't ever been able to attend one of her book clubs because I could never read the book. But now I can, and I need to support my colleagues. Also, it's pretty short.
I'm going to be real with myself and recognize that I probably won't be able to read more than 2 books this week. So here it is. My TBR for the week.
What are you reading these days?
