Goodreads Update March 2022 Pt. 2

The last update was a doozy but it hasn't been that long since we did that one, so there are only 5 books on this list. Whew!

Because I Could Not Stop for Death by Amanda Flower - Emily Dickinson solves a murder. I mean. Yes, please.

Murder in Westminster by Vanessa Riley - Key words that caught my attention: Regency-era, woman of color, abolition meeting. Abigail is the widow of a Lord, but because of her skin color she is obviously a suspect in the murder of her neighbor.

And By Fire by Evie Hawtrey - Dual timeline mystery in current day and 350 years ago. Christopher Wren and St. Paul's Cathedral and some murders.

Shadowman: An Elusive Psycho Killer and the Birth of FBI Profiling by Ron Franscell - I have a hard time with the word Psycho in the subtitle. That doesn't feel appropriate anymore. But I heard this is great and a great look at how profiling came to be.

The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn - I'm not normally a big fan of WWII fiction, but this one might be an exception. Mila is a librarian in Kiev until war breaks out and she is found to be a pretty good shot. Then she becomes Lady Death, racking up kills like a slot machine. After the war she goes to America where her past follows her, of course.

Ok. Those are all the new books for now. See any that catch your eye?
