March '24 Library Update
There has been quite a bit of activity on my library account this month. So much for focusing on reading books from my shelves.
Checked Out
Escaping Mr. Rochester by L.L. McKinney - I'm about 2/3 through this one and I'm struggling. Hopefully I'll decide how I feel about it before I have to review it in my wrap up.
The Collectors edited by A.S. King - I read the first story in this collection and it was great. It's due in a week, so I need to read a little faster. There are a lot of stories.
Fruits Basket Collector's Edition, Vol. 3 by Natsuki Takaya - The continuing saga. I haven't started this one yet. I need to worry about ones that take longer first.
The Girl From the Other Side Vol. 3 by Nagabe - The second volume of this was great, so I am now curious what happens next.
In the Margins: On the Pleasures of Reading and Writing by Elena Ferrante - I fell prey to my own library's marketing. I kept walking past this book on display and I finally just grabbed it. A book about books and reading. I'm in.
On Hold
Cat + Gamer, Vol. 4 by Wataru Nadatani - How could I look at that kitty belly and not request the next in the series. This just came out and I'm number 3 on the list.
5 Ingredients Mediterranean by Jamie Oliver - I don't know how much I trust Jamie Oliver's definition of "simple" to match my own, but at least I'm borrowing it instead of buying it.
The Noom Kitchen by the editors of Noom - Noom is a weight loss app. It's too expensive for what they do, in my opinion, but I'm interested in a cookbook. Again, we'll see if the recipes are actually doable. I notice there is a plate of shrimp on the front, which doesn't bode well.
Okie dokie that's all for now! What do you have going on with your library?
