Friday Reads 12/6/2024

Being as how I was sick this week and had little to no interest in reading, not much has changed since last week.

Government Information Essentials by Susanne Caro - Still working my way through this one. I'm about halfway in it now. I'm getting some interesting info now. I missed a couple of days of work this week, so I'll have to do some catching up.

The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton - I managed to read some of this one yesterday, so I'm officially 78% finished. This means I have 185 pages to go. Or like half of a regular length book. Sigh.

Sixteen Scandals by Sophie Jordan - When I got sick, I thought trying a book with a lighter plot might be the way to go. It was not. I think I read one chapter. I just couldn't concentrate on anything. I feel asleep randomly, and reading didn't help that much. So, this one is on hold until I finish Eleanor Catton.

There you have it. I don't have a ton of reading time this weekend.

I have a staff Christmas Party on Saturday evening. I have a bell ringing engagement Sunday morning. There's some time Sunday afternoon if I don't have a nap. But I should probably also do laundry. Dance rehearsal Sunday evening. Monday I have a hair appointment at noon and another bell concert in Skiatook in the evening. It's a little chaotic. It takes about 45 minutes to get fully done up for the bell concerts where I'm dancing.

It doesn't look like I will get 100 books read this year, or get 50 books from my shelves read. Oh well. It is what it is.
