So here it is, Saturday night. I'm just going to be honest with you here, I haven't read anything more demanding than Bookmarks magazine in days. I've been incredibly busy yesterday and today, and tomorrow isn't shaping up to allow for any reading either.
Have you heard of the Spoon Theory? This is a description of what it is like to have a chronic illness. Christine Miserandino tells it better, but basically the idea is that you imagine you are given a bunch of spoons every day which represents your energy for the day. Everything you do uses spoons. Some activities use more spoons than others, but when you run out, you're done. So you have to measure your spoons carefully and decide what activities you're going to do and what you have to let go of. Well, let's just say that today I used all my spoons and borrowed from tomorrow's supply.
Anyway, there are some books hanging around this weekend, but I don't really have the brain power to look into them. It happens sometimes. Are you having better luck than I am?
