Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is "Bookish Things I Wish I Could Quit, or I Have Already Quit".
I don't know that I have 10 of these, but I'll see what I can do.
I already quit finishing every book I start. I used to hang on thinking that the book would get better. Rarely did that actually happen, and when even when it did, it wasn't worth the time and effort.
My friend pointed out that I tend to buy new books at the bookstore, even though I work in a library where the books are free. Also, I have about 200 unread books on my shelf. In reality, I haven't bought a book in a couple of months, but that's probably a function of my reading slump.
My boss added the bad habit of putting everything on hold and then it all comes in at once. Then you can't possibly read them all.
Apparently, I've quit reading books at all. I wish I could quit not reading. My reading has picked up a bit in the last couple of weeks, but it's still not up to par.
Do you have any to add?
