Favorite Literary Mothers

Yesterday's tornado sheltering means I didn't get this posted as early as I wanted. But here it is. Today's Top Five Wednesday topic is Favorite Literary Mothers (or mother figures). I will have to think about this.

  1. Mrs. Bennet from Pride and Prejudice - Well this is the obvious first one. I mean, she's kind of terrible, but she's such a great character to read.

  2. Molly Weasley from Harry Potter - She really was a great mother, even if she was a little crazy.

  3. Marmee from Little Women is another obvious choice. She definitely had her hands full.

  4. Esmee from Twilight - She is kind of the ultimate mother figure.

This is really hard. Oh! I got one.

  1. Mrs. Brunetti from the Commissario Brunetti series - She has a name, but I can't remember it right this second. She's great. She's a working mom with opinions and a big mouth, but she takes great care of her kids.
