Goodreads Update 6/27/16 (part 2)

Ready for another round? Here we go. Here are the books I've added to my Goodreads TBR in the last 2 months.

The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney - This starts of as a cover add, because the cover is so great, but it's also about rich people problems.

Death's Acre:Inside the Legendary Forensic Lab the Body Farm Where the Dead Do Tell Tales by William M. Bass - Should I admit I'm interested in what happens with dead bodies?

Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman - This is about the niece of Adolf Hitler.

The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings - This is the first in a YA series set in a dystopian world where the murder rate exceeds the birth rate.

Hot Dudes Reading by Hot Dudes Reading - Hot Dudes Reading is an Instagram account filled with hot guys reading in public places. Hilarious!

Rich and Pretty by Rumaan Alam - One girl is rich, her friend is pretty.

**A Tyranny of Petticoats: 15 Stories of Belles, Bank Robbers, and Other Badass Girls - Jessica Spotswood - Doesn't that sound like fun?

The Badass Librarians of Timbuktu: and Their Race to Save the World's Most Precious Manuscripts by Joshua Hammer - Doesn't that sound great? Am I repeating myself?

My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me: A Black Woman Discovers Her Family's Nazi Past by Jennifer Teege - Given my new employment conditions I am really interested in race relations.

Arcadia by Iain Pears - I love everything of his I've read.

A Share in Death by Deborah Crombie - Another mystery series!

Morgue: A Life in Death by Vincent DiMaio - See previous dead body entry.

Iron to Iron by Ryan Graudin - This is the sequel to Wolf by Wolf that I'm reading now.

The Empathy Exams by Leslie Jamison - This is a book of essays. I have no idea what they're about.

My One Square Inch of Alaska by Sharon Short - This is the July book club book.

The English Boys by Julia Thomas - Julie is a friend of mine and I'm super excited about this.

The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye - What a gorgeous cover!

Turbo Twenty-three by Janet Evanovich - This isn't out yet, but it's on my list! I have read every book in this series.

Thunder and Lightning: Weather Past, Present and Future by Lauren Redniss - I saw a Booktuber review this and it looked really cool!

The Arrival by Shaun Tan - This book has no words. It's a picture book for grownups.

Sons and Daughters of Ease and Plenty by Ramona Ausubel - More rich people problems.

What We Become by Arturo Perez Reverte - I have loved most of what I've read by him, so...

Finding Beauty in a Broken World by Terry Tempest Williams - I've heard she is a fantastic non-fiction writer. I picked this one to check her out.

Lions by Bonnie Nadzam - This is about a near-ghost town in Colorado.

Underground Airlines by Ben H. Winters - It's about the current world, but the Civil War never happened. There are four states in which slavery is still legal.

Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi - This follows one family across several generations and continents.

The Nordic Theory of Everything: In Search of a Better Life by Anu Partanen - See previous post about living Danishly.

In the Darkroom by Susan Faludi - A memoir by Susan Faludi? Sign me up.

The Hospital Always Wins: A Memoir by Issa Ibrahim - This is a memoir about the author's experience with a mental hospital.

The Cook Up: A Crack Rock Memoir by D. Watkins - The author gave up his Georgetown plans when his brother gets shot. He takes over his brother's drug empire.

Today Will Be Different by Maria Semple - This is the author of Where'd You Go Bernadette which I loved.

Okay. That's it. I promise not to let it get away from me like that again.
