24 in 48 Readathon Wrap Up

It's time to recap the readathon I did this weekend. The idea of the 24 in 48 Readathon is to read 24 of the 48 hours in the weekend.

Saturday: I slept in. Well, I started reading at 12:30 Saturday morning. I read for about 30 - 45 minutes and went to sleep. I woke up at 8:45 on Saturday and read for about an hour, and realized I was so, so, so tired. So I went back to bed. I woke up at about 11:45 and ate some lunch and read for a couple of hours. I finished my first book: Feminism: Redefining the F Word. Then I started the next book: A Tyranny of Petticoats. Then I went back to bed. I got up at 6:30, made some food and read. I finished the second book around 12:30. I crawled in the bed and read about 85 pages of Boo.

I gotta tell ya, I was having a super fatigue day. I didn't do my planner. I didn't watch Youtube. I basically only slept and read.

Sunday, I slept until 9:45 and managed to stay awake the rest of the day! Which is good because I had to work all afternoon. It was a rough day at work, and I was exhausted. This is an excuse for the fact that I didn't read at all on Sunday. I was completely burned out.

I have come to the conclusion that I am not a long-distance reader. I'm more of a sprinter. I read a lot on one day, and then I'm done. This happened after the Dewey's 24 hour Readathon. I don't think I read for 3 days after that one. I can't imagine how badly I would do at a week-long readathon.

So there's my Readathon in Revue. I did finish 2 books, so there's that.
