At the Movies

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Movie Freebie. I am not feeling particularly creative today, so I'm just going to talk about my favorite movies. Now, I don't have very deep taste in movies. I watch movies for escape, not to think hard about something, or learn something, or feel deeply about something. Just fair warning.

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice 1995 BBC - I realize that this is a TV show, but I generally watch it all at once like a movie. This is definitely comfort watching for me and I know all the words. My husband knows all the words. He likes to add a fart track to go with all the facial expressions. My son watched this movie with me numerous times when I was pregnant with my daughter. He still comes in when he hears the music.

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice 2005 - This is a completely different movie. It is only 2 hours long. The cinematography is completely different, but it is gorgeous. The little details make this movie amazing. I have the piano music for it and I play it regularly.

![Clueless]

Clueless - I remember the first time I saw this movie, I realized about halfway through that it was a take on Emma by Jane Austen. So of course I had to watch it again with that piece of information in mind. I have since watched it numerous times.

Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde - This movie feels like Cher from Clueless goes to law school. It's hilarious and has such a great message. Well, several really.

Pirates of the Carribbean

Pirates of the Carribbean - And now for a slight change of pace. This movie is just so much fun. Very swashbuckling and adventurous.

Ocean's 11

Ocean's 11 - This movie has so many great one liners in it. I just watch it over and over.

Be Cool

Be Cool - This is a cool movie about an ex-mobster turned movie mogul. The side characters are hysterical. The situations these people get into are unreal. Perfect escapist watching.

Sense and Sensibility

Sense and Sensibility - I like this almost as much as the P&P adaptations. It has more cringy scenes which are hard to watch, but I love Emma Whats-her-name. I keep wanting to say Watson, but that's a completely different person.

Twilight

Twilight - How could I forget this one! I've got the first 10 minutes memorized because I used to watch it every night before falling asleep. I know it's not great film, but I love the colors.

Proposal

The Proposal - I watched this movie because a bunch of high school girls told me to. It is amazing! Sandra Bullock is so great.

There are some of my faves. What are yours?
