Goodreads Update Jan 2017
Unlike my library account, I have steadily been adding interesting things to my TBR list on Goodreads. Mostly because I don't have time to read interesting things, so I load up my TBR. I added 10 books since the last update.
Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body by Roxanne Gay - I love Roxanne Gay.
Theft by Finding: Diaries by David Sedaris - This is mildly interesting. Sedaris is weird. We'll see if his diaries are also weird.
Solutions and Other Problems by Allie Brosh - I loved her first book Hyperbole and a Half.
Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders - This is a book about Lincoln morning the death of Willie, his son that died young.
The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See - I enjoyed at least one of her other books. I'm hoping this is more historical fiction.
18 and Life on Skid Row by Sebastian Bach - Bach was the lead singer of one of my favorite bands in high school. So of course I had to get his book.
NW by Zadie Smith - I keep hearing that I should try to read Zadie Smith. When I ran across this book at B&N for $5, I decided to give it a shot.
The Quick by Lauren Owen - I started this one when it came out, but I couldn't get very far before it was due. I also found this on the bargain table at B&N.
Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk by Kathleen Rooney - This was my January Book of the Month Club pick. An elderly woman takes a walk around New York City and thinks about her life there.
The Pecan Man by Cassie Dandridge Selleck - This is the February Book Club Book. It is less than 150 pages, so there is a slight chance I could get it read in the next 3 weeks.
That's it. That's what I have added to my TBR with very little chance of getting them read in the near future.
