May 2017 Wrap Up

Hi Ho! It's the end of May! Let's recap what I read.

First, let's check what I had on my TBR for May. I feel like it was pretty ambitious for someone who is in school.

Commonwealth by Ann Patchett - Check! I got it done. Which means I'm well on my way to finishing one of my goals of reading 6 book club books this year. That makes 4 of the 5 book club books that I've finished! Woot! Commonwealth was really good, even if I couldn't always keep the characters straight. There were these two families that blended and I could never remember which kids came from one family and which kids came from the other. The narrative jumped around in time a bit, but I love Ann Patchett, so it's okay. Not my favorite of her work.

Books for Living by Will Schwalbe - Done! I finished this one a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed his take on learning things from books. Even books that he didn't particularly like. I'm not convinced that I need to reread The Iliad, no matter how much he loves it, but generally it was fantastic.

NeuroTribes by Steve Silberman - Check? I moved forward a bit on this one. I finally finished chapter 4 so that is a win. I didn't actually expect to finish it, so it's a win.

Aspergirls by Rudy Simone - Done! I devoured this one! It is just packed full of insights and important information about being a female with Asperger's Syndrome. I kept trying to get Alyssa to read it, but she wasn't truly interested. I'm going to buy a copy for us to keep so I can give this one back to the library.

I would like to say I read something else this month, but I didn't. I mean, I started a couple of things, but these are the only ones I finished.

What did you read this month?
