Book Settings I'd Like to Visit

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Bookish Settings I'd Love to Visit. This shouldn't be too hard. Nor will the be many surprises on this list.

  1. Pemberley from Pride and Prejudice - Because duh.

  2. The Shire from The Lord of the Rings - I mean, doesn't it sound great? Breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies... Yeah. I'm down.

  3. Bath from Persuasion - Yes, please.

  4. Holt Colorado from any book by Kent Haruf - It just sounds like such a quaint little town. I'd like to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

  5. The Metropol Hotel in Moscow from A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles - It sounded so glamorous but also really friendly.

  6. Singapore from Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan - Talk about you lush locales! The houses described in this book were way beyond the mansions of America.

  7. Sara Nelson's New York City apartment from So Many Books So Little Time by Sara Nelson - Her husband is a carpenter and he built her bookcases for her living room.

  8. Fillory from The Magicians by Lev Grossman - This is akin to Narnia.

  9. Venice from any of Donna Leon's books - Because how beautiful must that city be.

  10. The Night Circus from The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - This one moves around, but it's always exciting and beautiful.
