Books I Forgot

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is "Books I liked but don't remember much about". This is going to require some research. One moment....

The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery - I remember that I loved it and there was a huge surprise in there. I kind of remember that it was about a teen girl and an apartment manager or something.

The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers - I just noticed that this book is the 4th in a series. Maybe that's why I don't remember anything, I didn't understand any of the references. I truly remember nothing about this book that I rated 5 stars on Goodreads when I read it.

Black Swan Green by David Mitchell - I remember loving this. I remember something about a tree and a teen boy. That is literally all I remember.

Rules of Civility by Amor Towles - I love his next book, A Gentleman in Moscow. I definitely remember what that's about. But this one that I read 4 years ago and rated 5 stars, nothing.

This Must Be the Place by Kate Racculia - I think we read this for book club. I rated it 5 stars, but I have no idea what it's about.

A Novel Bookstore by Laurence Cosse - I remember enjoying this one a lot, but I can't remember anything about it now.

This is getting really boring. I just keep repeating myself. "Nope. Don't remember." Let's speed this up a bit. Here are four more I books I liked but don't remember...

The Reading Group by Elizabeth Noble
Await Your Reply by Dan Chaon
Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk by David Sedaris
Apologize, Apologize! by Elizabeth Kelly

Most of these are books I don't feel like I'm losing out by not remembering. I'm kind of excited that I can re-read the Amor Towles one like it's the first time, though.
