April 2018 TBR

I'm actually pretty excited about this TBR. I've got some interesting books coming up.

Bear and Nightingale

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden - This novel plays with Russian folktales. Apparently, it's fantastic. Also, it's our book club book this month.

Vengeance Road

Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman - This YA book is set in the old West and it meets the Read Harder challenge to read a western. Also, look at that cover!!

Princess in Theory

A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole - This is a romance novel, which is not my normal fare, but I do read a few. This one is about a normal girl who keeps getting emails claiming she is promised to marry an African Prince. Uh-huh. Okay. But the African prince in question is legit and he's out to find her. I am complete trash for the lost princess trope. This one meets the Read Harder challenge to read a romance novel by or about a person of color. It actually meets both of those requirements.

Party of the Century

Party of the Century by Deborah Davis - This is the one about Truman Capote's Black and White Ball in 1966.

The Sisters

The Sisters by David Grafton - This is about Babe Paley and her Sisters. They were raised to marry above their station and they each did it in grand style. Babe Paley was one of Truman Capote's Swans.

So this is way more books than I like to put on a TBR, but I really want to read all of them! The struggle is real.

What is on your To-Read list for April?
