Punny Titles
What is it with cozy mysteries and their titles with puns?
For example:
Cockatiels at Seven by Donna Andrews - Andrews is one of the worst offenders in this area.
The Long Quiche Goodbye by Avery Aames
Scene of the Climb by Kate Dyer-Seely
Her Royal Spyness by Rhys Bowen
On What Grounds by Cleo Coyle - A coffee house mystery
Thyme of Death by Susan Wittig Albert
Grime and Punishment by Jill Churchill
State of the Onion by Julie Hyzy - Starring the White House chef.
Alpine for You by Maddy Hunter
Pleating for Mercy by Melissa Bourbon - About a dress maker
Feta Attraction by Susannah Hardy
Ladle to the Grave by Connie Archer
Claws for Concern by Miranda James - There is a cat on the cover.
Do you have any favorite punny mystery titles? I haven't read any of these books, so I couldn't tell you if they are good. The titles are hilarious, though.
