Road Trip Books

Today's Top Five Wednesday topic is Road Trip Books. I feel like this was supposed to be about YA road trip books, but I am not a huge fan of those, so I picked some other books that you may not consider road trip books.

Fear and Loathing

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson - You might not remember the road trip part because of all the drugs, but it's there.

Walk in the Woods

A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson - This road trip did not involve a car. These two guys walked the Appalachian Trail.

Station Eleven

Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel - Again, no cars involved but there was a wagon.

The Road

The Road by Cormac McCarthy - Still no cars, but definitely roads.

Lord of the Rings

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien - I mean, if you think about it, it's definitely the ultimate road trip novel.

Got any to add to the list?
