Friday Reads 8/31/18

Whoo boy! I have never been more happy to see the backside of an August. I hate summer anyway, but I'm telling you this month has generally sucked. Happy to see September come in and at least bring better weather.

And because it's Friday, it's time to talk about what I'll be reading this weekend.

There is only one book left on my TBR for August. I have no delusions that I will finish it today, but I guess I could at least start it.

Blackass

Blackass by A. Igoni Barrett - It only has, like, 275 pages. It won't take up to much September reading time, right?

Man Called Ove

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman - My favorite character in this book so far might be the cat. I'm just saying. It's a cute book about a guy that is trying to kill himself because his wife has died, but he keeps getting foiled by his nosy neighbors who need him for various things. They are all adorable, but the cat gets top-billing in my opinion.

If I finish Ove I might find another audiobook to listen to in the car and while cooking dinner, etc. Or I might go back to listening to podcasts in the car. I can't think of any other time to listen. My attention is pretty well taken by various things at other times. If I had that bluetooth speaker in the bathroom, I could listen in the shower. For some reason I have the desire to squeeze more books into my life.
