Halloween Book Tag

Today, I am doing a Halloween book tag in honor of the holiday tomorrow.

THE TAG:

Carving pumpkins- what book would you carve up and light on fire? - That would be The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. I hate this book with the fire of a thousand suns. It's manipulative and obnoxious.

Trick or treat- what character is a treat, what character is a trick? A treat would be Abby Normal from You Suck and Bite Me by Christopher Moore. She's hilarious and sarcastic and sneaky. I love her. A trick (and by "trick" I'm going to mean a nasty, hateful character, not a prostitute) I would say Dolores Umbridge. She is horrible.

Candy corn- what book is always sweet? When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon. This is a YA romance where the girl doesn't change to get the guy. Yay!

Ghosts- what character would you love to visit you as a ghost? Elizabeth Bennet. We could have some good conversations.

Dressing up in costume- what character would you want to be for a day? - Well, I dressed up as Abby Normal once. That was a good time. My hair would be great for Hermione Granger.

Wizards and witches- what is your favorite Harry Potter moment? - It's not one moment, but every single time Hermione says "Didn't anyone read the textbook?" Gets me every time.

Blood and gore- what book was so creepy that you had to take a break from it for awhile? - I don't usually quit a book because it was too creepy. But there was one book club book that I couldn't finish because it was too anxiety-inducing. It was called Speak Softly, She Can Hear by Pam Lewis. It had a male character that was basically a narcissist and I couldn't deal. It freaked me out too much.

That's the tag! How would you answer these questions?
