Friday Reads 11/2/18

The Masters is done. But I still have to work a lot this weekend. And Sunday, I am planning a trip to a scenic drive with my daughter if she gets her schoolwork done. So there isn't a lot of room for reading, yet.

On the other hand, I am home sick from work today, dealing with a Rheumatoid Arthritis flare. And I had an epiphany. I am spending my sick day re-reading The Pleasures of Reading in an Age of Distraction by Alan Jacobs. This has brought to my attention that I just don't really want to be reading what I've been reading. So it's reminding me that I don't have to read something just because it's on a list. Even if it's a list I made.

So at this point, I have no idea what I'm going to pick up next. I know I should read at Whim, but my whim changes every time I see the cover of another book on my shelf. Probably, it will even out when this flare is over. Hopefully soon!

What do you hope to read this weekend?
