Very Merry Readathon Wrap Up

I am making Readathon Progress! I finished 1 and a half books for this readathon!

The Bookshop Book

The Bookshop Book by Jen Campbell - Of course I chose a book about books! Well, bookshops, anyway. This is a lovely little collection of essays about bookshops all over the world. There are also little snippets of bookish facts and odd information about some bookstores. Included are interviews with authors and bookshop owners and other literary type people. I read most of it on my sick day on Wednesday and it was perfect sick-day reading.

The Bronte Plot

The Bronte Plot by Katherine Reay - This is more light reading. It is about a woman who works for an interior designer. She specializes in rare and collectible books. She meets a guy when he comes in to buy a couple of books and they start dating. Then he finds out she is adding the inscriptions in the books and passing them off as increasing the value of the book. He dumps her, but his grandmother hires her to go on a trip to England to find pieces for her house. It reads like a basic chick lit novel, but with the added bonus of being about book worms. I'm half way through, so I'll let you know how it turns out.

I was watching a booktube video last night wherein the person was filming her week of reading during a readathon. At the end she said, "This is the first readathon where I haven't finished my whole TBR." I was like, "Wut?" I mean, I guess she's single/no kids, but she does work full time. How do you read 5 books in a week like that? Did I ever do that? Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with my progress.
