Friday Reads 1/4/19

Welcome to the first Friday Reads of 2019!

I'm pretty stoked about this weekend's reading because I am reading A Winter's Promise by Christelle Dabos. It's this amazing fantasy novel about a girl from a lovely, green, mountain world where everyone is a cousin and they all work together who is engaged to be married to a grumpy, rude, giant of a man from a world made of snow and ice where everyone is out to get everyone else. She doesn't understand why she has been chosen to marry this man. She is intelligent and focused on her work at the museum. She dresses badly, can't see without her glasses, and is pathologically clumsy.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through it so far. I'm really enjoying it. I have questions though. Is it a YA novel or not? The words on the page are pretty large and it kind of reads like a YA novel, but the main characters are not teens, so I really don't know. It doesn't really matter. It's a good book either way.

What are you reading this weekend?
