Top O' the TBR

Today's Top 5 Wednesday topic is Top Of the TBR. I don't actually have my February TBR worked out yet, so I'm just going to wing this, and tell you about books I really want to read soon. I realize that that could ostensibly be all my books, but I'll try to narrow it down. Warning: it might be more than 5 books.

First I'm going to start with the books that have been on my TBR the longest.

Thereby Hangs a Tail by Spencer Quinn and The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. These have been hanging around since 2013. It's time to get them outta here.

Next I am just going to peruse my list and see what jumps out at me.

Autumn by Ali Smith - I have mentioned this occasionally on my posts. Autumn and Winter are already out. Spring is coming out in a few months. It would be nice to have started on the series. But honestly, I have no idea what they're about.

A Fatal Grace by Louise Penny - I read the first in the series this month and immediately went out and bought the second one. It is currently riding around in my car.

The Mars Room by Rachel Kushner - This one is turning up on awards lists all over the place and I already own a copy. I might as well check it out.

Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson - I have a feeling the sequel to this will be on the reading list for the Sequoyah Awards, so I should read this one to prepare.

Now I Rise by Kiersten White - As much as I loved the first one in this series, I haven't been all that hurried to get to the second one.

I've noticed that I'm attracted to different books when I'm looking at my Goodreads list than when I'm standing in front of my shelves. Probably because I'm looking at covers one way, and spines the other way. Maybe.

What is calling your name these days?
