Library Update January 2019

We are heading into the last days of January, so it is time to recap my library holds and stuff.

I don't currently have anything checked out right now, and I can't tell you about some of the books I have on hold, but some of them I can.

The first two have been on my list for five-ever (like forever, but longer).

It Happens

It Happens: A Guide to Contemporary Realistic Fiction for the YA Reader by Kelly Jensen - I requested that my library purchase this book last summer. It was almost immediately added to the catalog, but it still hasn't processed and been put out. I, however, am most seriously put out.

Unmarriageable

Unmarriageable: Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan by Soniah Kamal - This one just came out on Tuesday which partly explains why it's not in circulation yet. But only partly.

Beastie Boys

Beastie Boys Book by a whole bunch of people - The Beastie Boys was a big part of the music scene when I was a teen. At first they were kind of a joke band. A bunch of New York Jews rapping about partying. By the end of the century they were a highly respected and unique musical experience. This book is $50 at the book store. I am not THAT interested in the Beasties, so I will just wait for my hold.

So there you go! No a lot changing this month, but it is what it is.
