May 2019 Library Update
Oh man. What a month! I'm exhausted! Getting ready for Summer Reading Program at work. Getting my son home from college. Dealing with car drama. Dealing with parent drama. Trying to get everyone fed. Reading all the books. It's a tough life.
In the middle of this, I don't have a lot of action on my library account. But here we go, anyway.
Spin by Lamar Giles - This is a YA Urban Mystery. This is a new genre for me. It puts a spin on the whole Urban fiction thing. DJ Parsec is an up and coming DJ in the Virginia area. Or was. At the beginning of the book, she's just been murdered. Her two closest friends, who are not close to each other, and neither were particularly close to the DJ when she died, have to figure out who did it before her crazed fanbase does something really horrible.
That's all I have checked out right now.
On hold I just have the same one book I've been waiting for for months.
It Hapens: A Guide to Contemporary Realistic Fiction for the YA Reader by Kelly Jensen - The thing with YA contemporary fiction is, it goes out of date very quickly. This book might not even be relevant when I finally get it.
And that's it. Not much going on with the library account since I keep getting boxes of books sent to me for free!
