Friday Reads 12-20-19

I have definitely earned this Friday! My weekend will be short because Sunday is jam packed and Saturday we will be spending some time at my in-laws' house. My Sister- and Brother-in-law will be here for an early Christmas. Sunday, my bell choir is providing all the music for two of three church services. Then I have to race off to work. And then our last dance rehearsal is in the evening. Luckily, there is only one day of work next week before I get a couple of days to sleep in! I tell ya: I sure need it. I only worked 3.5 days this week, but I am exhausted! This will take some getting used to.

Anyway, that's not why we're here. We're here to talk about all the books I'm (not) reading. I started a few books last week, but I haven't got very far in any of them. Here is what I'm going to focus on sooner rather than later.

Christmas Blizzard

A Christmas Blizzard by Garrison Keillor - This is the book club book for December. We are meeting on the 27th. Schedules got crazy packed and we decided to push it back a bit. It's short, so I think I can get it done.

Starless Sea

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern - Much like her first book, The Night Circus, this books is twisty and magical. I could easily get lost in this one.

American Royals

American Royals by Katherine McGee - This is a fun, dramatic, teeny-bopper story that I could fly through if it wasn't 500 pages. This one is about the American Royal Family and how they are all just misunderstood kids, etc.

Guinevere Deception

The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White - Merlin sends a fake Guinevere to protect Arthur from up close because magic is banned, but his enemies are using it. She is magical and has to be careful not to get caught.

Uh, wow. That's still 4 books. Well, At least they're pretty interesting.
